                                 Banana Cake/Bread

So Guys,

today I am going to show you how to do an EASY Banana Cake especially when you have those guests surprising you at the last minute by telling you that they are visiting. It is quite a tasty Recipe and you can add anything that you want with it.

You can use this recipe either as a cake or as an afternoon tea bread where you can serve on it a warm splash of butter accompanying a hot cup of tea. Enjoy this recipe and Leave your feedback in the comments section :)!

 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Self-Raising Flour
  • 1 cup white sugar (Can use caster or granulated white sugar)
  • 50g melted butter
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup or 60ml milk
  • 3 or 4 Very Ripe Bananas
  • Optional: Choclate Chips, Raisins, Nuts, Cranberries or other dried berries
 Method:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C or 160°C if fan-oven
  • Spray cake tin (I used a loaf tin since I didn't have a proper cake tin) with oil or use a baking paper (Like I did!)
  • Mash bananas in a bowl till they are all gooey
  • Sift the flour in another large bowl and stir in the sugar
  • Make a well in the centre and add the melted butter, egg, vanilla essence and the milk
  • Stir the Mixture until combined
  • Add mashed bananas and stir until the mixture is all mixed together
  • Add optional ingredients if adding and stir again
  • Pour in the cake tin and bake for 30-35 minutes until skewer comes out clean
  • Serve Warm or Cool
P.s As you can see in my mixture I added some golden raisins which added an even sweeter taste.
Do not forget to leave your feedback and comments and enjoy!
